Sitting at the Paper Boat right now while Kate Bingaman works on painting the walls for her installation. It's really nice to see new color in the space and I can't wait until she starts bringing out her work to put up on the wall. Tomorrow Stephanie Syjuco flys in and starts to instal her work.

So mark your calendars for this Friday night from 7-10 at Paper Boat. The Get Drunk DJ's will be in the house spinning tunes and there will be organic cheese from my mom's farm and beer to consume.

"Obsessive Consumption: Thanks For Shopping" work by Kate Bingaman (MS) & "Everything Must Go [Grey Market]" work by Stephanie Syjuco (CA)
will run from Feburary 9th till March 12th.
Both artists will be in attendance at the opening.

On Saturday check out "Love in a Time of War & Global Warning" at Neighbors which is a new art space in Riverwest (actually the former space where my first gallery Flying Fish was located.. awwww) at 800 E. Clarke St. from 6-10 pm. All sorts of Milwaukee people were asked to sit down with a sheet of paper and write about what they love. Cool? Yes! Here is my piece....

Icy chilly freezing cold.

Milwaukee is bitterly cold which will make it difficult to do anything this weekend, but as always there are things to do outside of my compound.

Tonight (Friday) we may try to swing by the
GREEN GALLERY located at 631 E. Center St. 3rd floor in Riverwest, for a one night only art event and reception--- plus, experience the premiere of "Video Arcade" Milwaukee's newest video gallery with work by Xav Leplae, Andrew Swant, Paul Stoelting and Bobby Ciraldo. It starts and 9 and goes late. If you've never been to the Green Gallery, it's in a very non-descript building, so if you think you are in the wrong place, you probably aren't.

Saturday night don't miss Fasten's Valentines Show and don't miss my favorite Milwaukee band The Trusty Knife who will be headlining the show after 11pm. Support your local fashion designers!!

Sunday I would like to stop by Woodland Pattern for the Anne Kingsbury: Repetition and Discipline more info here. Her beadwork looks amazing....

Some photos from this week....Fishished up Messenger Owls for elsewares.com order and sent them off, all 36.
Played a basement show with my peeps in Common Visions.
